READY FOR SUMMER VACATION

 The school year will be over soon.  It is almost time for summer vacation. Summer vacation is a break from my normal school schedule. During the summer the weather is warm, even after the sun has gone down at night. The trees are full of leaves and plants are growing fast. Many trees and other plants produce fruit during the summer. I wear clothing like shorts and short sleeves to stay cool. During the summer I like to go swimming in my pool. Some of my favorite things to do in the summer include planting vegetables and eating Ice cream. 

MANNERS

 Today”s  blog with discuss appropriate behavior when riding transportation with others. There are many times when I share transportation with others. There are manners I use when riding Transportation with other people. I want other to feel comfortable when riding with me. One way I make others feel comfortable is keeping an appropriate volume when I speak. I make others feel comfortable by making sure I use appropriate language. If I listen to make I use my headphones so the sound can be heard by others. I like being responsible for y things when I load and unload from the bus. If the air conditioning is on I keep my window closed. If I open a window I make sure to close before getting out of the bus. When I get off the bus I say Thank You or Have a nice day. 

WANTS AND NEEDS

The topic at school this week has been wants and needs. It's important to be aware of the differences between wants and needs. A need is something that is required for living. A need is something that a person must have to survive. Two examples of a need are hair ties and band-aids.  A want is something unnecessary, but desired or desired or an item, which increases the quality of my life.  A want is something that a person would like to have. Two examples of want are pop and snack. 

FIELD TRIP TO NATIONAL CONEY ISLAND

On Wednesday, May 12, we walk to Coney Island. It was about a mile and a half there and back. At my table I sat with Sydney and Miss Kristen and me. I ordered chicken tenders and french fries and a lemonade I had a great time talking with Sydney. I didn’t mind the walk back because I offered to push Emily‘s adaptive stroller which I did not mind it was a great walk back. 

SAFETY

 As an adult I am responsible for my safety. Being safe means I keep myself and others round me out danger. I like being safe in my home, at school, and in the community. One way I am safe at home is not leaving oven on when your not using it. One way I am safe at school is being careful when cutting up things when we are cooking on Thursdays. Another way I am safe in the community is looking both ways crossing the street. If I see someone not being safe I can help them. 

FRIENDS

  

 I am a student at Royal Oak Trails program. I  go to school with other students. Friendship is two or more people who support each other through life. Friends also celebrate with each other and always have each other’s Back. One way I am good friend is sharing the basketball. Another way I  am good friends is texting on the phone. I like having friends and being a good friend.

DIRECTIONS

 

 At the schools I learn different ways to explore where I live. The area where I live is community. My community is Royal Oak Using Google maps and the internet can help me learn about places I might like to go. I can find out the location of a business, park, or restaurant. The of a place is its address..  I can find out the hours they are open. I can find out the hours they are open. I can find out the phone number in case I need to call for more information One place I would like to visit near my house is Elaines Bagels. The address is 2847 Coolidge Hwy, Berkley, MI 48072. On Tuesday it is open from 6am to 1pm.

I would recommend you visit. Yes because I love to eat bagels.
