Corwell health

My tenure at Beaumont began on March 4, with my first task entailing the preparation of 7 boxes of bacon, totaling 90 pounds, for later cooking. Using two boxes of bacon, I arranged one sheet per tray, with six pieces per tray, ensuring minimal contact. The tray corners were folded over, and the trays were stored in a bus tub. At the end of my shift, I ensured the sanitation of all high-touch points.

On March 6th, my duties included preparing two boxes of bacon, totaling 60 pieces, followed by six boxes of sausage meat, approximately 70 pieces. I then directed my attention to sanitizing high-touch point surfaces, including door handles, doors, and cafeteria tables. A notable aspect of my day was enjoying ice cream for appreciation week and meeting Morgan, a project search student And also seeing Sarah.

Max Keeble's Big Move Review

 "

Max Keeble's Big Move" is a hilarious 2001 Disney kids' comedy starring Alex D. Linz, Zena Grey, Josh Peck, Nora Dunn, Robert Carradine, and Jamie Kennedy. The cast also features Noel Fisher and Orlando Brown as the bullies who make Max's life miserable, while Justin Berfield adds to the fun in his supporting role. In a thrilling cameo, skateboarding legend Tony Hawk takes a spin.

Max's first day of middle school is a disaster, with a bully duo and a principal who's more wacky than wise. But things take a turn for the worse when the evil ice cream man, still fuming over a past incident involving a bug-infested snow cone, starts seeking revenge. However, when Max learns he's moving away, he sees a chance to turn the tables on his bullies without facing any consequences. With the help of his friends Robe and Megan, Max concocts a plan to teach his tormentors a lesson they'll never forget.

One of my favorite all-time movies big fat liar

"Big Fat Liar" (2002) is a hilarious comedy starring Frankie Muniz as Jason Shepherd, a 14-year-old with a talent for spinning tall tales. When Jason's creative writing assignment falls into the wrong hands, he finds himself on a wild adventure to reclaim his stolen story.

Jason's essay, inspired by his own experiences as a compulsive liar, catches the attention of Hollywood producer Marty Wolf (Paul Giamatti). Wolf steals Jason's story and turns it into a blockbuster film, leaving Jason determined to clear his name and reclaim his intellectual property.

With the help of his friend Kaylee (Amanda Bynes), Jason travels to Los Angeles to confront Wolf and set the record straight. As they navigate the wacky world of Hollywood, Jason learns valuable lessons about honesty, integrity, and the importance of telling the truth.

The film also features a host of hilarious cameos, including Keenan Thompson, Dustin Diamond, and Jaleel White. Even the film's director, Shawn Levy, makes a brief appearance, adding to the movie's lighthearted and comedic tone.

Featuring a talented supporting cast, including Lee Majors, Amanda Detmer, and Donald Faison, "Big Fat Liar" is a laugh-out-loud comedy that's fun for the whole family.

Disney Channel’s original movie twitches

Based on the popular "T*Witches" book series by H.B. Gilmour and Randi Reisfeld, the Disney Channel Original Movie "Twitches" (2005) stars real-life twin sisters Tamera and Tia Mowry.

The film tells the enchanting story of identical twin sisters Alex and Camryn, who were separated at birth and discover they possess magical powers on their 21st birthday. As they reunite, they must learn to harness their powers and work together to save their mystical kingdom from dark forces.

The movie's success led to a sequel, "Twitches Too", in 2007.

Review on Zoey 102 ( 2023)

i've watched this movie at least 20 times this year and last year

One of the pleasures of watching Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101 as a tween was the series’ idealization of independence. Set at the fictional boarding school Pacific Coast Academy, the Dan Scheinder-producedshow centered on a confident, precocious teen named Zoey Brooks (Jamie Lynn Spears) and her rotating door of roommates (R.I.P. Dana), friends, and boyfriends as they navigated their teenage years away from their homes.

It gave college hopefuls a glimpse of living in a dorm and kids, who simply wanted to escape the reign of the parents, an extremely comfortable portrait of adult-like freedom. As with many children’s programs, the kids’ financial stability was a given.

It’s only appropriate, then, that a reboot set in the adult world would flip this fantasy on its head. In the new sequel film Zoey 102 (now on Paramount+), the former most popular girl at PCA appears to have seemingly peaked in high school. Zoey 102 is essentially a redo of Zoey 101’s series finale, suffused with rom-com clichés. Most of the film takes place during the leadup to Logan (Matthew Underwood) and Quinn’s (Erin Sanders) wedding where most of Zoey’s classmates—minus a few notable faces, like Lola (Victoria Justice) and Nicole (Alexa Nikolas)—reunite. The fact that brainiac Quinn is settling down with Logan, who doesn’t seem to have matured much since PCA, is just as concerning as Zoey’s obsession with Chase. However, in classic rom-com fashion, her life is positioned as more aspirational than Zoey’s, because Quinn’s in a relationship.

That said, the fact that Quinn is getting married to her high-school lover and that Chase, who also attends the wedding, has a girlfriend sends Zoey spiraling down a path of bad decisions. Embarrassed about her singledom, Zoey tells the bridal party, including her nerdy former classmate Stacey (Abby Wilde), that she has a boyfriend. After Quinn puts her down for a plus-one, Zoey’s forced to hire an actor to pretend to be her date at the wedding.

On the same day as Quinn and Logan’s wedding, she also has to attend the taping of her show’s finale, after begging her boss to be added to the live team. The film tries its best to make the stakes of Zoey’s work life feel just as important as the state of her love life. But the sexism she experiences in the workplace is tackled in a cursory manner, and the film doesn’t seem to take reality TV seriously as a genre. Zoey 102 is like most modern reboots that aren’t nearly as satisfying as watching the original product. Maybe if the film were willing to tackle the anxieties of modern womanhood in a more specific, less superficial way, it would at least give viewers the opportunity to be surprised. Instead, it does exactly what the original show did: present a generic, sanitized view of adulthood. This time, though, it’s less like a fantasy and simply just inaccurate.

Zoey 102  is a movie sequel to the hit 2000s teen dramedy series Zoey 101. Star Jamie Lynn Spears and almost everyone from cast of the original show -- which aired from 2005-2008 on Nickelodeon -- returns. Themes of the movie include friendship, teamwork, and the importance of honesty. The movie's content is tween-friendly overall, but you can expect some social drinking/partying by adults, kissing, and characters waking up in bed together. An underlying storyline is that a killer is on the loose in Santa Monica, and a victim is shown in a body bag.

Hilary Duff

Hillary Duff's early career showcased her versatility and charm, with notable roles in the family comedy "Casper Meets Wendy" (1998) and the hit Disney Channel series "Lizzie McGuire" (2001-2004), which catapulted her to international fame.

Her next notable lead role came in 2002 with the Disney Channel Original Movie "Cadet Kelly," where she starred alongside Christy Carlson Romano, Andrea Lewis, Shawn Ashmore, and Gary Cole.

The story follows Kelly Collins, a free-spirited high school girl who lives with her mother, Samantha. When Samantha remarries, Kelly's life is turned upside down. Her new stepfather, General Joe Maxwell, is the commandant of George Washington Military Academy, and Kelly is forced to attend the strict military school.

As Kelly navigates her new surroundings, her carefree attitude clashes with the academy's rigid rules and traditions. Cadet Captain Jennifer Stone is particularly determined to break Kelly's spirit.

With its uplifting message and memorable characters, "Cadet Kelly" remains a beloved Disney classic. Interestingly, the movie was filmed at the actual Dundas Valley School of Business in Ontario, Canada, which added to the film's authentic military academy atmosphere.

Finally bringing back Monstober on Disney Channel

“It’s Monstober all month long on Disney Channel.”
If you are familiar with this phrase, then you must know this is the best time of year to be a child in front of the TV. Disney Channel’s Monstober signaled me to start planning my Halloween costume and start playing special Halloween pretend games with my neighbors. With Halloween-themed content streaming continuously, this specific Disney Channel annual tradition was the greatest in the channel’s history.
If you do not know what I am talking about, “Monstober,” or “Hauntober Fest” as it was originally titled, was an annual night of Halloween-themed Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOMs) and TV shows that were featured for the entire month of October.
The annual marathon began in 2005 and ended around 2016. ABC Family, later known as Freeform, had a similar marathon called 13 Nights of Halloween, but as the name suggests, it was not an all-immersive experience that stretched through October.
Monstober was special because it shoved spooky content at me every night for 31 nights, leading me to tune in every year for about seven years.
In its “Hauntober Fest” era, Disney Channel gave us classic DCOMs such as all four Halloweentown movies, both Twitches, the Haunted Mansion, and the Little Vampire. It also birthed one of the most beloved Disney Channel shows of all time – Wizards of Waverly Place.
To celebrate the first year of Wizards of Waverly Place, Hauntober Fest rebranded to “Wiz-Tober” and featured the show’s cast as program hosts. Imagine not only watching prime Halloween-themed movies and shows but also getting extra content from Selena Gomez and the rest of the Wizards cast.
Wiz-Tober was responsible for my absolute favorite Halloween song, China Anne McClain’s “Calling All the Monsters.” Unlike Christmas, Halloween does not have many true Halloween songs. When this song dropped, I immediately memorized all the words.
I watched the music video during commercial breaks and with my parents’ permission on YouTube to learn the dance moves to follow along. I suggest you pause reading to go listen to the song before continuing.
Finally, in 2012, Wiz-Tober entered its “Monstober” era with the release of Girl vs. Monster and remained Monstober until it was quietly discontinued in 2016 after the release of Invisible Sister.
An awful side effect of growing up is desperately wishing you could relive or recreate your most intense nostalgic memories. Among my favorite Christmas memories, I can still see my dad lifting my now 30-year-old sister to put the angel on the tree, my family still drives around to see Christmas lights and my mom used to play the same Christmas albums on our old stereo. The only thing that has changed is that I am not little anymore.
This is not the same as Monstober or even the greater, overarching nostalgia of Halloween. Disney Channel no longer has the spooky Mickey Mouse ear design between commercial breaks with various special hosts, and I am not sitting beside my mom watching Halloweentown High while she sews my Halloween costume.
I miss the anticipation and excitement I once had for Halloween. I have tried to recreate parts of it, but I cannot bring back my most cherished annual tradition of watching Disney Channel’s Monstober.
I think Disney Channel’s Monstober was simply an incredible tradition. The Christmas and summer special episodes were forgettable, but the Halloween episodes still hold value. Disney+ even boasts collections of these episodes on the app to fit with the season, but more importantly, to bring the nostalgic experience back to Monstober fans.
Although this annual month of nightly Halloween-themed programming cannot be recreated, I firmly believe Monstober was the best Disney Channel tradition and I am grateful for all the Halloween memories I made with it. I'm glad to hear they're finally bringing it back. It made me so happy I started crying Now, excuse me while I   marathon all the Halloweentown movies.

Beetlejuice 2 movie review

I wanted to share my thoughts on this film. It might not live up to its predecessor from over three decades ago, but it's still pretty entertaining and enjoyable. The returning cast, especially the iconic Michael Keaton, brought back some great memories, and it was amazing to see Tim Burton direct a sequel after 36 years.

I did have a few nitpicks, like some pacing issues and a couple of plot holes, but overall, I enjoyed the movie. The soundtrack was fantastic, paying homage to the original film, and the visuals were visually stunning, although they might be a bit intense for younger viewers.

The film had some interesting writing decisions and incorporated some unexpected elements, which I appreciated. The comedy was on point, and while some character development fell a bit short, the core cast still delivered.

In my opinion, I'd give this film an 8.4/10. I prefer the classic, but I still enjoyed the contemporary take and I'll definitely watch both films again.

Summer of 2024

I had a great summer working at Arby’s and tending to my garden. I didn’t do much besides that, but I did manage to get some fresh produce. Most of my free time was spent shopping with my sister and going on vacation to Oscoda, Michigan. I also made a few splurge purchases, including a new air fryer and a Fitbit. Overall, it was a good summer, and I’m looking forward to the upcoming months.
